CME Program was conducted at Kodagu institute of medical sciences (KoIMS) today for the first time by IRIA KSC. It was organised by IRIA KSC and hosted by Dept of Radiodiagnosis, KoIMS.

Deep appreciation to Dr. Rachita Ramamurthy and Dr. Muralidhar Kamalapur for elaborate demo on Midtrimester Anomaly scan and fetal doppler in Stage I IUGR as well as for their guest lectures. Demo was done using Mindray Resona I9.

The Fetal Medicine Workshop was conducted on 25th May 2025 at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences. 

2nd Trimester Anomaly by Dr Srinivas S.  

CME Peripheral Vascular Doppler and Demonstration of Techniques was conducted at J. J. M. Medical College on 18th  May 2025. Dr. Mohit Shah, President of SFM and MSK Ultrasound Society from Mumbai spoke on Carotid &Limb Doppler, and Demonstrated the techniques, Dr. Bhaskar. M .V Interventional Radiologist from Adhventha Hospital Jayanagar Bangalore spoke about Vascular Interventions and Renal Doppler and Dr. Sudarshan .C.Y  Prof  of Psychiatry spoke on the importance of Mental Health in Radiology.

The program was conducted under the guidance of our KSC-IRIA President, Dr. Praveen. G.U. Principal of Chamundeshwari MCH & RI, Channapatna.

The program was successful with more than 100 attendees utilizing the opportunity & honing their Doppler Skills. 

The Fetal Medicine Workshop and Case Discussions were conducted on 27th April 2025 at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences.
1st Trimester Anomaly by Dr Srinivas S.  

World Health Day program was conducted on 23rd April 2025 at Sri Chamundeshwari Medical College Hospital and Research Institute. 
IRIA Karnataka Shakti wing and Samrakshan participated in the workshop/Education program on Women during Pregnancy and Motherhood – ‘Garbha Parva’. 

Cardiac CT and MRI Master class was conducted on March 16th 2025 at Phillips Innovation Centre, Bengaluru.
An Introductory Cardiovascular Imaging workshop on why CMR and yes CCT for radiology residents. 
Organized by Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research Bengaluru.
 

Woman’s day 2025 in association with IMA Bengaluru, at IMA hall with Jatha  

R K Goulatia CME 2022 was conducted on 10th and 11th of September 2022 in KLE Centenary Convention Centre of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belagavi. It was organized by Indian Radiological and Imaging Association, conducted by Indian College of Radiology and Imaging and hosted by Karnataka State Chapter of IRIA in collaboration with Department of Radio-diagnosis of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Belagavi. Two days of CME was started with welcome address by Dr. H K Ananad, President, IRIA-KSC. More than 260 delegates registered for the CME and various eminent speakers across the nation gave lectures on the theme of the CME & quot; Musculo-skeletal Imaging & quot;. All the lectures were well appreciated by the delegates. As part of the CME a workshop of hands on demonstration of Musculoskeletal ultrasonography was conducted by the specialists on 4 different sonography machines which was attended by a large number of delegates and was hugely appreciated. More than 80 oral papers and 50 oral papers were presented by the postgraduates and best 3 were awarded. A quiz was arranged for post graduates and top 3 teams were awarded.

An inaugural function was held at 12:30 noon on the first day. Welcome address was delivered by Dr. Pradeepgoud Patil, Prof and HOD Radiology, JNMC, Belgaum . Chief guests Dr. Vivek Saoji, Honorable vice chancellor and Dr Umesh Krishnamurthy, President-elect, IRIA spoke about importance of Musculoskeletal Imaging and wished the CME a grand success. Dr. Varaprasd, Chairman of ICRI spoke about the academic activities of the ICRI. Principal of JNMC Dr. N S Mahantashetti spoke and congratulated the organizing committee for conducting the CME. The function was presided over by Dr. V A Kothiwale, Registrar, KAHER, Dr H K Anand, President, IRIA-KSC, Dr. Pravin G U, Secretary, IRIA KSC.

Two days of Scientific deliberations were well attended and delegates enjoyed the variety of local food too. The concluding ceremony was addressed by Dr. Pravin G U. He thanked all the delegates and organizers and said the CME was a grand success and a memorable one. 

Second academic evening of the committee was held on July 2nd at IMA Hall, Bengaluru. Highlight of the event was the felicitation of senior radiologists Dr. Saroj and Dr. Poornima on the occasion of  annual doctors’ day. Dr. Varsha recollected the achievements and contributions by the these two lady radiologists. Dr. Madhav Hegde coordinated the event and led the academic sessions. President IRIA, Karnataka Dr. Anand H K, Honorary Secretary IRIA, Karnataka Dr. Praveen G U, Dr. Umesh, President Elect, Central IRIA honored the Dr. Poornima and Dr. Saroja. Dr. Ayesha introduced the exemplary road trodden by late Dr. B.C Roy who has inspired generations of doctors. Event was well appreciated by the members.
